The 8-lane, 400 metres track at Barnet Copthall Stadium incorporates a 12 lane sprints/hurdles straight which is overlooked by the grandstand. The stadium holds 9999 spectators, of which 499 can be seated. A feature of the stadium is the comprehensive outside areas for throwing events where additional shot, discus, hammer and javelin events can take place without compromising the athletic programme of meetings up to international level. For evening and winter use there are full floodlighting facilities enabling training and matches to take place throughout the year. Inside the stadium building, the modern changing rooms provide a comfortable environment for both male and female athletes with hair dryers and mirrors while the shower rooms have extraction fans to control humidity. There are 2 first aid rooms which are fully complient with current Health and Safety regulations. Within the main grandstand there is a cafeteria which overlooks the track and can cater for all levels of sports meetings or social events. In addition there is a large function room which provides adaptable space for a variety of functions including weddings and conferences. The stadium is fully equipped to stage events for disabled athletes. There are two car parks with a 1000 vehicle capacity.
